Abstract
Objective:To investigate effect of kupffer cells translation pathway changed by depleting liver GSH on liver injury induced by LPS plus D galactosamine(GaLn).Methods:Male mice were treated with Galn/LPS which caused acute liver injury,Diethylmaleate(DEM),a thiol oxidant were given ip at the dose of 5 mmol/kg 2 hours before LPS.Results:Mice were treated with Galn/LPS and the levels of plasma ALT were higher, but there were no significant changes in the levels of plasma TNFα,liver MDA and GSH after 6 hours. Conclusion:DEM can deplete GSH in liver and modulate redox balance to inhibit liver injury induced by Galn/LPS.
