Abstract

Melting temperature of oxidation period slag and reducing slag as well as desulphurizing slag in 120 ton AOD of Baosteel Stainless Steel Branch was investigated by means of the method of half-spheroidal point temperature.The influence factors of AOD slag melting point were studied.The results show that for the AOD slag in oxidation period,the influence of basicity and MgO on slag melting point is little.The slag melting point increases with the increase of TFe in oxidation slag as TFe content range from 10% to 20%,and in addition,the slag melting point increases 140 ℃ with Cr2O3 content in the slag increases from 22.5% to 30%.For the final desulphurizing slag,the slag melting point increases remarkably as the slag basicity changed from 1.4 to 1.8.The slag melting point decreases observably in the range of CaF2 addition 12%~13% for desulphurizing slag of basicity 1.8,and in the range of CaF2 addition 9.5%~10.5% for reduction slag of basicity 1.6.
