Abstract
College English teaching for Outstanding Engineers must adjust to the program for Educating and Training Outstanding Engineers, aiming at cultivating more comprehensive and practical engineering and technical personnel, via reforming the teaching method and creative talents training model. A new English teaching system for Outstanding Engineers is introduced from the three aspects of teaching aims, curriculums and teaching models, based on the experience of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, which aims to establish an effective teaching system to cultivate engineering and technical personnel.
