PCR-SSCP Analysis on TLR10 Gene in Holstein Cows

Abstract

The TLR10(Toll-like receptor 10) gene was studied as a candidate gene for mastitis resistance in 210 Holstein cows.Polymorphism of TLR10 gene was detected with fifteen pairs of primers by polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism(PCR-SSCP) in 210 Holstein cows.No polymorphism was detected in the amplified region,and this result indicated that the genetic markers that affect mastitis resistance in Holstein cows may not exist in the detected region of TLR10 gene.
