Abstract

Diaojiaolou, the most common residential form of Tujia people, is a famous architectural form in the world, and it is loved by Tujia people because of its elegance and economic utility. From the cultural perspective, this paper analyzes the reason for Tujia people to choose Diaojiaolou and the reason why they gather in communities but with exclusive family lives. This analysis has significance to the protection of Tujia Diaojiaolou.
