Abstract
Objective:To investigate the quality of urban and rural centralized water supply in Wenling and ensure drinking water safty for residents. Methods: 1 water source sample,1 treated water sample and 3 peripheral water samples were collected in the high flow period and in the low flow period from 10 water plants that supply centralized water.Samples were tested and evaluated according to GB/T 5750-2006,GB 5749-2006 standards. Results: 300 water samples were collected in 3 years and it was found that microbiological indicators, free chlorine residual, turbidity,pH value did not meet the requirements. The water quality between large and small water plants was statistically different. Conclusion: Drinking water in urban and rural areas is primarily influenced by microbial contamination rather than geographical and industrial pollution, chemical factors;water hygiene monitoring should be targeted to small-scale centralized water supply enterprises.
