An Empirical Analysis of the Dynamic Relationship between Industrial Structure and Economic Growth——From the Statistical Data of Guangdong Province during 1978～2008

Basing on the general rules of industrial structure evolution and the historical data of Guangdong Province during 1978-2008,this paper aims to describe the industrial structure evolution and explore the relationship between economic growth and industrial structure changes in Guangdong Province.The empirical results show that,since 1978,the economic growth in Guangdong Province has been promoted mainly in the second and tertiary industries;meanwhile,the first and second industries' output value structure has changed with the economic growth;the adjustment of industrial structure has had a significant growth effect. Moreover,this paper proposes to promote urbanization,develop the modern manufacturing industry,expand the proportion of the tertiary industry and perfect the industrial regional distribution.
