Empirical study on the relation between foreign trade development and economic growth in Shanghai City

Through statistic and econometric analysis,it is found that the size of foreign trade is very huge and the development is very rapid in Shanghai.The relationship between foreign trade and economic growth is consanguineous,and is long-term stable equilibrium.Yet they are unilateralism Granger causality only,namely the foreign trade and export are not Granger cause of economic Growth in Shanghai,on even reverse the latter is Granger cause of the former.Finally,based on the results of quantitative analysis,this article puts forward several suggestions and countermeasures.
