Abstract
Artemisia seed polysaccharide(ASP) is extracted from Artemisia sphaerocephala Krasch by method of boiling water and ethanol deposition. The crude polysaccharide is deproteined by Sevage join papain method, then is isolated and purified by ultrahydrogelTM500(7.8×300 mm) column chromatography to obtain the polysaccharide. And purify is detected by agarose gel electrophoresis.FT-IR spectrometry,UV-spectrophotometer,and automatic spectropolarimeter are used to determine the characteristic absorption and optical rotation of the polysaccharides, respectively. The monosaccharides contained in ASP are analysed by ion chromatography(IC).The results show the ASP is a reductive polysaccharide and has a homogenous component. And the total content of ASP is 96.45%,the specific rotatory power is +90°.The monosaccharides constituent of ASP are Glucose(Glc),Xylose(Xyl),Lyxose(Lyx),Mannose(Man),Arabinose(Ara) and Galactose(Gal),in molar ratios 1∶4.98∶1.69∶27.86∶3.76∶13.92.
