By “Yi” is meant the poets' individual deep observations of real life; by “Li” is meant the poets' individual philosophical considerations of phenomena. The former is achieved by putting different kinds of images together in the poems; the latter by the poets' peculiar experiences and observations together with their wisdom and intelligence.
