Jia Yi,Chao Cuo and the thought and society in the early period of the Han Dynasty

Historians have always held the opinion that the thought of letting things take their own course of the emperor Huang and Lao Tzu was carried out in the early period of the Han Dynasty.However,a comparison between the thought of Jia Yi and Chao Cuo and the policies and thoughts in the period ruled by Emperor Wu in the Han Dynasty shows that the thought in the early period of the Han Dynasty was characterized by obvious succession.Jia Yi and Chao Cuo mainly drew lessons from the decline of the Qin Dynasty and insisted that the Confucian thought of benevolence be used to moderate Legalists'tending to arouse the contradiction between the rulers and peasants,which led to the situation of valuing the Confucian theories in the period ruled by Emperor Wu in the Han Dynasty.Jia and Chao's economic thought also affected Sima Qian's economic thought.
