Characteristics of New Early-medially-maturing Sugarcane Variety YT94-128

The results from testing characteristics of YT94-128 showed that this new sugarcane variety had high germination and tillering rate,strong ratooning ability,moderate plant height,medially big stalk diameter and more millable stalks per hectare with high and stable cane yield and sugar content.YT94-128 was significantly higher in both cane and sugar yields than ROC10,it had less sensitivity to the environment in comparison with ROC10,which indicated that the yield and stability of YT94-128 was better than that of ROC10.The three advantages of YT94-128 were long plant height,more millable stalks per hectare and high sugar content.
