Abstract
Tissue parameters of leaves of 7 alfalfa cultivars were observed and analyzed. The results show that there were significant differences of leaf length, ratio of leaf width to length, leaf thickness, stoma density, thickness of palisade and spongy tissues,CTR,SR,and the vein protuberant degree among the cultivars, but no significant difference among the cultivars in leaf width, epidermis and horny layer thickness, stoma length and width.Cultivars with low ratio of leaf width to length, high stoma density, thick stockade tissue, high CTR,low SR and high leaf vein protuberant degree boast strong cold resistance.
