Analysis and drug sensitivity test of mycoplasms in non-gonococcal urethritis patients

Objective To study the isolation and drug sensitivity of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) from the patients with phlegmonosis in genitourinary system.Methods An integrated IST kit isolation identification and drug resistance test of mycoplasma from genital tract of NGU patients was used.Results The isolates of mycoplasma was 142 strains in 248 NGU patients,the positive rate was 57.26%,and 44.00% was from male,the other 60.61% from female.The difference of positive rate in gender was statistical significance(χ2=4.50,P0.05).From the positive specimens of 142 cases the infection of Uu was 38 cases(26.76%),Mh was 2 cases(1.41%),and the mixed was 102 cases(71.83%).The positive rate of patients infected with mixed state of Uu +Mh was significantly higher in female(75.00%) than that in male(54.55%),(χ2=3.85,P0.05).The drug resistance of Uu and Mh mix infection was higher than that of Uu;Uu infection was much sensitive to Josamycin(JOS),Doxycycline(DOX) and Clarithromycin(CLA);Uu+Mh were sensitive to JOS,DOX and Pristinamycin(PRY).Conclusions The positive rate of Uu and Mh mix infection was high in patients with phlegmonosis in genitourinary system ;its drug resistance was higher than the drug resistance of Uu infection.Clinicians should pay more attention and select antibiotics according to the drug susceptibility test.
