Mycoplasma infection situation in patients with non-gonococcus urethritis and cervicitis and its drug resistance analysis

Objective To investigate the infection status of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) in the patients with non-gonococcus urethritis and cervicitis in a hospital and its drug resistance situation.Methods Using the reagent kit of Biomerieux Mycoplasma IST from France,Uu and Mh were cultured and the drug sensitivity test was performed.Results The positive detection rate of mycoplasma was 29.7%,the only positive Uu accounted for 71.2%,the positive Uu and Mh accounted for 26.2% and the only positive Mh accounted for 2.6%.The results of drug sensitivity test indicated that the sensitivity to Uu and Mh had no significant difference,the sensitive rates from high to low were in turn PRI 95.7 %,JOS 94.1%,DOX 92.6%,TET 79.2%,CLA 68.2%,AZI 61.8%,ERY 21.4%,OFL13.60% and CIP 7.1%.Conclusion The mycoplasma culture of urogenital tract secretion and the drug sensitive test are extremely important to guide the clinical diagnosis and medication.Pristinomycin,doxycycline and josamycin may be used as the first choice of medication for treating mycoplasma infection.
