The controlling methods of general purpose of I/O(GPIO) in the embedded system are introduced.The methods in the core level by the analysis of the GPIO of PowerPC 8248 and in the Linux by the analysis of the start process of Linux are gotten.The platfom researched is based on the PowerPC 8248 embedded system.The system environment is Linux system.
