Abstract
Objective To study the relationship and clinical value between high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) level and the severity of coronary artery and the stability of atherosclerotic plaque. Methods A total of 90 patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) who underwent coronary angio-graphy(CAG) were divided into 1-vessel-disease group(n=35),2-vessel-disease group(n=35) and 3-vessel-disease group(n=20).The relationship between hs-CRP and the severity of coronary artery, and the relationship of hs-CRP levels in the stable angina(SA)group, the unstable angina(UA)group and the acute myocardial infarction(AMI)group were analyzed. Results The hs-CRP levels were higher in the 2-vessel-disease group and the 3-vessel-disease group than that in the 1-vessel-disease group. There was statistics difference in the three groups(P0.01).There was statistics difference between the 2-vessel-disease group and the 3-vessel-disease group(P0.01).The hs-CRP levels were higher in the unstable angina(UA)group and the AMI group than that in the stable angina(SA)group. It was higher in the AMI group than in the unstable angina(UA)group. There was statistics difference in the three groups. Conclusion The hs-CRP level is closely associated with the severity of coronary artery and the stability of atherosclerotic plaque.Hs-CRP is an indication for the severity of patients with CHD.
