Abstract

Objective To observe the results of radiofequency catheter ablation(RFCA)for idiopathic ventricular tachycardia(VT) and frequent premature ventricular contractions(PVCs),and also to evaluate the feasibility and safety of PFCA for idiopathic ventricular tachycardia(VT) and frequent premature ventricular contractions(PVCs).Methods This study included 48 patients(M/F,29/19),mean age(45.3±6.8)years.All patients had no heart disease. The ablation was performed with routine endoeletrophysiological study, and pace-mapping combind with activation-mapping.To compare a mean frequency of PVCs after the ablation with the before. Results RFCA successed in 95.83%(46/48).compare a mean frequency of PVCs(142±170)after the ablation with PVCs before the ablation(16016±2891),P0.001.No complications encountered.During a follow up period of(2~18)months,Recurrence occurred in 2 patients in the 45 successful cases. Conclusion Radiofrequency catheter ablation is a safe and effective treatment for patients with idiopathic ventricular tachycardia and frequent premature ventricular contractions.Appropriate selection of patients is very important.
