The Investigation on Current Situation of School Physical Education in the Countryside in Some Southwest Provinces in China

This paper makes an investigation on physical education teaching, sports activity after class and factors affecting the development of physical education of primary and middle schools in the countryside in southwest provinces (Guangxi, Sichuan, Guizhou). The result shows that school physical education in the countryside is obviously less developed. The obsolete of concept, shortage of full time and part time teacher, lack of sports facility, without suitable teaching outline and material are the main factors that restrict the development. Based on it, developing countermeasure and suggestion are put forwarded.
