Abstract
In this paper, the brake mode of 300km/h electric motor train unit is analyzed, which will be designed soon in China. Based on the design of XianFeng and ZhongYuan Star high - speed motor train units, a kind of reasonable brake mode is proposed with theory calculation and comparision: alloy forged steel wheel - mounted disc brake, rheostetic brake, and regenerative brake is for motor car, while alloy forged steel wheel - mounted disc brake, disc eddy current brake is for trailers. The load on the brake disc and brake pad can be alleviated with this kind of equipments, and the brake capacity of the brake equipment can be also improved largely. Therefore, it is sure that the technical condition of braking force and braking distance can be satisfied.
