Abstract

Objective:To discuss the needles and pathways selections of CT-guided percutaneous biopsy of the spinal lesions, and evaluate its usefulness in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal tumors.Method:352 cases of spinal lesions(155 cases of cervical vertebrae,101 cases of thorax,81 cases of lumbus and 15 cases of sacrum) underwent CT-guided percutaneous biopsy before operation.Different pathways and needles were used according to locations and characteristics of the lesions.Result:Among all the 352 cases,333 cases had definite pathological diagnosis. The positive rate of biopsy was 94.60%.137 cases received operations, and the final pathological diagnostic accordant rate with the preoperative ones was 95.62%.The average follow-up time was 27 months, the accuracy rate of biopsy was 93.75%(330/352).No complications occurred.Conclusion:CT-guided percutaneous biopsy is the most effective method to make definite diagnosis of the spinal lesions before operation, and it is also safe, accurate and low-cost,it plays an important role in the establishment of the treatment scheme.
