Abstract
Morphology and physiological response of one-year seedlings of Quercus variabilis inoculated with mycorrhizal under different soil moisture levels(85 %-75 %θf,65 %-55 %θf,45 %-35 %θf) were investigated. The results showed that inoculation of mycorrhizal could significantly promote seedling shoot and root growth, increase chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate and water use efficiency.Under the water level of 65 %-55 %θf,the mycorrhizal inoculated seedlings exhibited the best growth, highest net photosynthetic rate, and water use efficiency, the water demand to nursing qualified seedling was significantly lower than that under the water level of 85 %-75 %θf,indicating that the mycorrhizal inoculation could save water use.
