Abstract

Taken 10 superior clones from Changlin series and Xianglin series of Camellia oleiferaas materials, the comparison test on field transplant of seedlings grafted on germinated seeds was conducted, and the growth traits of grafted seedlings from different clones were researched. The results showed that, the average survival rate and the average shooting rate of grafted seedlings of 10 clones were 81.3% and 84.5% respectively. The survival rate of grafted seedlings of Changlin No.53 was the highest, which reached 92.7%.And the shooting rate of grafted seedlings of Changlin No.27 was the highest, which reached 96.1%.The height, ground diameter, root and leaf of all grafted seedlings grew well. The variation range of the survival rate and the shooting rate were 32.2% and 35.2% respectively, the variation range of height, ground diameter, ratio of height to diameter, root length and root extension was 17.2%~44.4%,while the variation range of leaf number was 50.8%.These indicated that the grafted seedlings of 10 clones were suitable for cultivation in the southwest of Hunan Province
