Development and Clinical Observation of Kuiyang Adhesive Tablets

Objective The purpose is to increase bioadhesive strength of mucoadhesive sustained-release tablets and to prolong the residence time of the dosage form in oral cavity as well as the release rate of drug from the formulation so as to improve the effect of drug. Methods The bioadhesive agents were added to the tablets. Compared with that of ordinary tablets ,the qualities of the tablets were tested and the clinical curative effect of the tablets was observed.Results The adhesive force of the tablets was strong. After absorbing water and swelling ,the tablets can be adhered to the wound of ulcer and can not be easily moved.The tablets can make the curative effects as well as protect the wound and maintain longer the curative effects.Conclusion The curative effects of the tablets are remarkable and the method of use is convenient.
