Abstract

Artistic conception(Yijing) is the core concept in classical Chinese aesthetics,and it is also the most difficult problem in literary translation.The biggest obstacle in translating classical Chinese artistic essays is the translation of the artistic conception.This essay investigates the obstacles and strategies in the translation of artistic conception from three perspectives: the translation of images,the conveyance of emotions,and the generation of readers' associations.
