Abstract

Objective To explore the effectiveness of fresh platelet-rich plasma transfusion and cryopreserved platelet transfusion. Methods One hundred and sixty patients with thrombocytopenia or platelet dysfunction were randomly divided into two groups. One group received transfusion of fresh platelet(experimental group)and the other was given cryopreserved platelet(control group). The hemostasis time,CCI and PPR of peripheral blood at 1 h and 24 h after platelet transfusion were compared between the two groups. Results There were significant differences in CCI and PPR between two groups at 1 h and 24 h after platelet transfusion(P0.01).Conclusion Fresh platelet transfusion has better effect on raising platelet count in peripheral blood in comparison to cryopreserved platelet.
