Comparison of the antiviral effect between oxymatrine and lamivudine against hepatic B virus in vitro

Purpose To compare the antiviral effect between oxymatrine and lamivudine against hepatic B virus in vitro.MethodsHepG2.2.15 cell lines were cultured in vitro at different concentrations of oxymatrine and lamivudine.2 and 4 days later,inhibitory effects of the experimental drugs on HepG2.2.15 cell lines were estimated using MTT and serum HBsAg and HBeAg were detected using ELISA.ResultsTD50 of oxymatrine on HepG2.2.15 was 1 489.1 μg/L,and lamivudine was 15.5 μg/L.The effect inhibition on HBsAg and HBsAg expression of lamivudine was in a dose-and time-dependent way.ConclusionOxymatrine was safer than lamivudine in anti-hepatitis B virus.
