Abstract
Objective:To observe the epidemiological incidence and correlation factor of anxiety or/and depression in patients with hypertension in Chongqing.Method:The data of self rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self rating depression scale(SDS)involved 536 cases of hypertension and 100 normotensive subject served as control were evaluated by our investigation team.Result:The scores of SAS and SDS were increased in patients with hypertension,especially in patients with female gender,mental labour,separation,divorce or loss apouse,not takeing part in physical labor in spare time,compared with those in control.Stepwise regression analysis indicated that anxiety and depression were correlated to gender,systolic pressure,vocation,taking part in physical labor in spare time.Conclusion:Patients with hypertension in Chongqing were accompanied with anxiety or/and depression which were associated with various factors including in gender,serious hypertension,mental labour,divorce or loss spouse.
