Abstract
【Objective】To investigate the relationship between lipoprotein lipase(LPL)gene polymorphism and serum lipids in Chinese aged people.【Methods】PCR-RFLP methods were used to detect the LPL gene PvuⅡ site genotype, and serum lipids and apolipoproteins were measured.【Results】P——,P+-group had significant higher levels of serum TC,LDL-C and ApoB than that in P++ group, but this difference was detected only in men.In women, both groups have similar levels of lipids and apolipoproteins.【Conclusion】LPL gene PvuⅡ polymorphisms is associated with serum TC,LDL-C and ApoB levels, people carrying P-allele have higher serum TC,LDL-C and ApoB levels than people carrying P+ allele, and this association only exists in men.
