Abstract
On basis of the study on mechanism of deviation control and fast drilling in the coupled driven drilling technology and by use of software SABHA specialized for calculation of steering force, the main parameters, such as hole deviation angle, stabilizer space, weight on bit, screw bend angle, have been studied for their effects on the steering force, the BHA has been designed respectively for drilling of 444.5mm and 311.2mm holes, and the field test was conducted in a block in the East China Sea. The coupled driven drilling technology can not only reach the goal of deviation control and fast drilling of vertical well but also realize the continue path control of directional well. Moreover, this technology can increase the penetration rate, decrease the trips and shorten drilling period effectively, so that it has the wide prospect of application in offshore oil fields.
