Abstract
The solution of nitrogen in molten stainless steel was studied thermodynamically and kinetically.The results showed that the solubility of nitrogen is increased with decreasing temperature and increasing Cr,Mn,Mo content.The theory and practice of nitrogen alloying model by blowing nitrogen into AOD were studied,and it was indicated that nitrogen content is changed with the changing of carbon content and temperature of molten,oxygen and argon gas flowing rate.The process is suitable to produce N-bearing stainless steel which nitrogen content value below 90% and to assure the accuracy of nitrogen content control,the nitrogen content should be below 80% of solubility under normal pressure.
