Abstract

Objective To establish a method to determine the quantity of amentoflavone and robustaflavone-4′-dimethyl ether in Selaginella uncinata(Desv.) Spring and Selaginella. Methods The determination was performed on a Shimadzu VP-ODS column(4.6 mm×150 mm,5 μm).Acetonitrile-0.2% acetic acid solution was used as the mobile phase with gradient elution. The flow rate was 1.0 mL · min-1.The UV detection wavelength was 338 nm.The column oven temperature was 30 ℃.Results Amentoflavone and robustaflavone-4′-dimethyl ether were separated, showing good linearity at 0.646-12.92 and 0.670-13.40 μg,respectively(r=0.999 9).The average recoveries were 99.8% and 97.7%,and the RSDs were 0.85% and 1.1%(n=6).Conclusion The method is accurate, simple and reproducible, and can be used to control the quality of herbs Selaginella.
