Research Progress and Development Prospect of Wetland Resources

Abstract
The research target of wetland resources is to investigate wetland resources types and their distribution,evaluate the characteristics of wetland quantity and quality,explore the interaction between water,soil,plants and animals of wetlands,and understand the impacts on wetland resources by human activities in ecosystem,landscape and regional scale,as well as to harmonize wetland resources conservation and rational utilization of wetland resources.This report analyzed the current development situation and strategic demands for Chinese development of wetland resources research in recent years.The main achievements on wetland resources monitoring,assessment of wetland functions,wetland water resources and function restoration,conservation of wetland biodiversity,wetland and global changes,urban wetlands and urban wetland park,wetland ecological tour,wetland dynamic change and impacted by human land uses,and 3S techniques applied to wetland researches were reviewed.Based on the development trend of wetland resources research,the development fields and main research directions of wetland resources in the future were pointed out finally in the report.
