Abstract
The history of air source heat pumps was sketched, and the advantages and disadvantages of the two types of air source heat pumps were analyzed the in this paper, including air-to-air and air-to-water heat pumps. The feasibility analysis in theoretical calculation and practical comparison were made. In order to save energy and protect the environment, it is considered that air source heat pumps will replace boilers for heating system in hot summer and cold winter area, and the south part of cold area in the north of China.
