The Differences of Chinese-Western “Faith” Culture and Their Modern Integration

Abstract

The faith of Chinese traditional moral principles' culture builds on the self-sufficient small-scale peasant economy, belongs to that kind of moral field which arises from the dignity and consanguinity faith, and emphasizing in morality, while the faith of the western legal culture set on the market economic contract, stressing on norm and supervision, which reflects equality, freedom and lawful rights' legal awareness. In author's opinion, comparing to Chinese traditional society, great changes have taken place in the modern China's society in the fields of social structure, moral relationship and values, and etc. the phenomena of the faith crisis appeared in market economy development not shows the ineffective problems in traditional moral and ethics culture, but embodies the defective matters in legal faith. It forces us to realize the faith integration of the Chinese-western culture, and establish a type of modern social faith culture which supported by morality, based on property rights, guaranteed by legality, and then push forward the fully establishment of the social faithful system.
