Breeding of New Maize Cultivar,Hengdan No.10

Abstract

Corn hybrid cultivar Hengdan No.10 was developed by Dryland Farming Institute,Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences with inbred line 2208(female) and H21(male).The variety is early and middle Maturing.According to the variety production test,Hengdan No.10 has the characteristics of high yield,good quality,multi-resistance and wide adaptation.The variety is suitable for direct seeding in summer season in the city of Tianjin and middle-south Hebei Province.The suitable density of the cultivar was up to (52 500)-60 000 plants/hm~2.
