Abstract
In present paper the effect of chromium(Cr6+) on rice seed germination and seedling growth were studied. It was showed that Cr6+ was harmful to germination and growth of rice. With increase of Cr6+ concentrations, the seedling height, root length, fresh weight and dry weight decreased, the rice seedling growth was inhibited distinctly, but the outset density of chromium harmful to paddy plants in hydro-culture experiments was lower than that in pot-culture experiments, with more serious chlorosis symptoms.
