Professional Learning Community:An Effective Means to Teachers' Professional Development

Professional learning community plays an important role in promoting teacher development in western countries.By reflecting the professional development of Chinese teachers in the context of curriculum reforms,the author holds that establishing,sustaining and developing such communities in and across schools are effective means to help achieve professional development of Chinese teachers.
