Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy of fentanyl transdermal patches for analgesia after thyroid surgery. Methods 80 cases patients after thyroid surgery were randomly divided into fentanyl group and morphine group, each of 40 cases. After thyroid surgery, fentanyl group were given fentanyl transdermal patches for analgesia, and morphine group were given morphine tablets oral for analgesia.Observed the pain relief, visual analog scale(VAS) scores and adverse reactions of two groups. Results After treatment for 8 days, significantly ease and complete remission patients of fentanyl group took a proportion of 87.5%(35 /40).After treatment,VAS score of fentanyl group was lower than before treatment and control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05) ;VAS score of morphine group before and after treatment had no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion Fentanyl transdermal patches for analgesia after thyroid surgery has significant efficacy, easy and safe for utilisation, and worthy of clinical application.
