Abstract

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of burn-scald tincture on deep second burn wound in rabbits. Methods: 60 rabbits were divided into model, solvent, positive and three burn-scald tincture groups, each group was given corresponding drugs respectively after modeling, the gross change at early stage, surface of wound healing, scab time, sureface of wound arca and histopathological changes of skin were observed and recorded. Results: There was obviuos difference between the treated groups and control groups on healing time, the formation rate of scarin in the treated groups was less than that of control. The hair follicle epithelium tissue proliferation in the treated groups was faster than that of control, the number of inflammation cells sinfiltrated was less than that in control on the 4th,7th and 10th day;the fresh epidermis covered wound, which was thicker than normal, the skin structure was clear on the 16th day,the fresh epidermis couldn't covered the wound in the control groups. Conclusion: Burn-scald tincture can promot the healing of surface of deep second burn wound.
