Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the applied value of procalcitonin(PCT) as a diagnostic marker of neonatal septicemia.Methods:The level of PCT of 22 patients with neonatal septicemia(treatment group) and 22 patients with non neonatal septicemia(control group) was obtained by immunochromatography.The clinical data and correlative experimental target were collected at the same time.Results:The level of PCT,C-Reactive protein(CRP) and positive rate of blood culture were higher in treatment group than control group.PCT was higher sensitivity and specificity than CRP and blood culture.Conclusion:PCT is a promising marker for the early diagnosis of neonatal septicemia.
