On Issues of the Socialist Core Value System

The socialist core value system shows a complex spatial structure: its lateral structure consists of the ideological and the behavioral aspects;its vertical structure consists of the basic socialist values and the idea of the higher socialist core values.The idea of socialist core values should focus on the manifestation of the essence of the socialist core value system and the fundamental requirements of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, and enhance the good and discard the bad to surpass the core values of capitalism.Its essential connotation is justice and fairness,democracy and freedom,benevolence and harmony,and humanism.The idea of the socialist core values is the most fundamental viewpoint and the most general statement of the socialist core values and the soul of the socialist core value system.Advocating and fulfilling the idea of the core values positively is the demand of spreading the socialist core values and the necessary choice of pushing forward the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
