A Review of Research on Core Values

At present, the academic research on the core socialist values focuses on the following questions: the significance of cultivating and practicingthe core socialist values; the interpretation of the scientific connotation of the core socialist values; how to draw upon and carry forward the fine traditional culture of the Chinese nation in the process ofcultivating and practicingthe core socialist values; the approach of cultivating and practicingthe core socialist values and so on. Researchers reach a basicagreement on some importantly theoretical problems, such as the necessity to constructthe core socialist values; the constituent ofthe core socialist values; the basic path of cultivating and practicingthe core socialist values and so on. But some issues, such as, the final presentation of the core socialist values and the relationship between the core socialist values and the socialist core value system, was still controversial among researchers. The nextemphasis of the research will shift to the highlighted problems,the difficult problems and the controversial problems.
