On the Reform of the Credit System within the College System of Higher Education

The credit system and college system are two basic administrative systems for higher education.In the Chinese market economy they are widely adopted universities.These two systems differ in various respects: In some respects the two systems are incompatible,while from other view points they are mutually complimentary.To effectively implement credit system within college system,we must abide by the Four Principles;we should establish the educational principle that always gives priority to the students;we should try our best to make the higher education always progress on the right track;while remaining flexible,the system should have the whole operation in control;the credit system to be established must be applicable to the concrete situations of China's universities.In order to achieve these goals,we must adopt certain strategies and methods to guarantee the compatibility between the credit system and college system.
