Abstract
The natural macromolecule flocculant chitosan was used to flocculate ginkgo leaf water-extraction solution for optimizing the production process and improving the clarity and quality of solution. The experiment by the optical absorption and scattering law, flocculation rate and flavanones loss rate were used as two main parameters to estimate the effect of different factors on flocculation, and the experimental results of flocculation method were compared with the ethanol subsiding technique.Based upon the single factor experiment to judge the favorable trend of flocculation and using the orthogonal experiment, the best flocculation technique conditions were got : flocculant mass concentration 1.071 g/L,flocculation temperature 40 ℃,pH 4.9.The results show that the flocculation of water-extraction solution of ginkgo leaf with chitosan is effective and it has greater advantage than the ethanol subsiding method.
