Abstract

Objective:To evaluate effective of malaria control in Guilin from 1950 to 2009.Methods:Collected malaria control information from township hospital in the county 1950-2009.Excel statistical software was used for statistical analysis.Results:The incidence of malaria was 36.20/10 000 in 50 years,the incidence of malaria was 223.66/10 000 only in 1950,mainly Plasmodium vivax malaria epidemiced.Dropped to 0.09/10 000 in 80 years,with the increase of floating population,malaria patients upped to 0.23/10 000 in 90 years,floating population infected malaria included 9 domestic provinces and 4 foreign countries.In this century malaria prevalence was 0.02/10 000.Conclusion:The city adopts comprehensive and long-term malaria control measures,local residents malaria is effectively controlled,secondary malaria cas es are not found in floating population.
