Abstract
Permanent magnetic(PM) gear is a new type of magnetic transmission mechanism.There is no direct contact between the driving wheel and the driven wheel,and it transfers torque and power through magnetic force generated by the coupling magnetic fields.To study its transmission characteristics,analysis and calculation of the magnetic field of PM gear was carried out,and then the FEM software ANSYS was utilized to simulate its induction line and induction intensity at different torque-angles.And finally the torque angle characteristic curve of PM gear was obtained.The torque angle characteristics and mesh ratio at low speed was validated through experiments.
