Abstract

High purity of 4-(4'-bromophenyl) cyclohexanone(99%) was prepared from(4-acetylcyclohexyl) benzene in overall yield of 20% via bromination,Baeyer-villiger reaction,hydrolysis and oxidation.The product was identified by 1H NMR,GC-MS.
