Abstract
Objective To analyze the influence of different preservation conditions for 24 h urine creatinine(UCr) test sample, and investigate the appropriate condition. Methods The urine samples were collected simultaneously, and the initial and preserved UCr were determined under the conditions of different holding times, different temperatures and different preservatives, and the influence of these three factors for UCr determination was analyzed by one-way anova statistics. Results Under the room temperature and 4 ℃,urine Cr had no significant changes during 24 h and was steady-going all the time. When the formaldehyde was added in urine samples, the UCr level decreased(P0.05),but dimethylbenzene did not influence it.Conclusions 24 h urine sample can be preserved at the room temperature without preservative for the 24 h UCr determination.
