Abstract
After China was invaded by Western powers since the First Opium War,the tael-and-copper currency regime was so threatened that serious monetary crisis took place.So Chen Bi practiced the reform on currency regime in the last phase of Qing Dynasty,which is extensively discussed in this paper for our better understanding of the economy in later period of Qing Dynasty and the significant impact of the reform on the transformation of the regime.The paper also intends to put forward the further suggestions on Chinese currency regime at present,which would help the China's currency regime adapt to finance globalization.
